Dubai

On our Etihad flight. We left a few days before Christmas.

Morning walk:
Dubai Creek Golf Club

So peaceful!

The really skinny building in the distance is the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world (more pictures of that below)!

the hotel, harbor, and restaurant

sightseeing, day 1
The entrance to one of the many malls.
In front of the entrance is this man-made river.
Our view of the Burj Al Arab from the mall entrance.

We went to see the Burj Al Arab, but you can only get in if you are a guest!

The palm island with Atlantis hotel.

Hao and I on the Big Bus tour bus.

The Atlantis hotel!!

The Lost Chambers in the Atlantis Hotel

I love how sting rays look like they have a smiley face all the time!

My favorite fish tank! So many cute, colorful fish! We also saw a Tang fish, which is the blue & yellow one (Dory from Finding Nemo is a Tang fish)!

Starbucks is everywhere!

Another shot of the Atlantis hotel.

Our nighttime festivities: falcon show, dune riding, and camel rides, and dinner.

We made sand angels!

"Hope"

View from dinner

We went to one of the malls downtown after dinner, around 9pm, and it was pretty packed!
The huge aquarium in the mall.

The ceiling made to look like the night sky.

Sightseeing, Day 2
Breakfast with a view!!

My henna tattoos the next day.

Some outdoor shots of our hotel.

One of my favorite stores!

Some sights from the Big Bus (We got a 2 day ticket):

The "Old" part of town:

I thought it was neat how the cars had umbrellas over them. I guess when it's over 100 degrees outside, you need some shade for your car!

I love the architecture!

There's a Lulu's (my nickname)!

The Old Suks

the sunset from our hotel room:

Love that skyline!

Dubai was gorgeous! We also felt very safe! I loved that we could visit the city, the old suks, and the relaxing river area all in one place. We were able to rest and see lots of sights! We definitely want to go back again!
